Rocky Balboa
Daniel gives 'Rocky Balboa' 5 out of 5 fins

This movie was the equivalent to the original Rocky. It had a similar feel and, by all means, a similar story. I was skeptical going into the theater for this one, but was pleasantly surprised with the end result. Great job Sly!

The Pursuit of Happyness
Daniel gives 'The Pursuit of Happyness' 5 out of 5 fins

This is a really moving story. Will Smith and his son Jaden both did a brilliant job. Jaden Smith actually gave the most believeable childrens performance in a movie that I have ever seen.

Young Frankenstein
Daniel gives 'Young Frankenstein' 5 out of 5 fins

I agree, nobody sings "Putting on the Ritz" quite like Frankenstein's monster, nobody! Wasn't your hump on the other side?

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Daniel gives 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest' 4 out of 5 fins

I have a lot of positive things to say pertaining to this film. The acting was superb, as expected. The special effects were entertaining and well placed, as expected. The overall story of adventure and the choreography of the scenes was excellent, as expected. The love story was, um, ill suited to the characters at best. I felt that Jack Sparrow's return at the end did not justify Elizabeth's altered appeal for him. Sparrow repeatedly showed his lack of regard for the life of others in the past as well as much cowardice and self preservation (which made him humorous), and this one change of heart on his part doesn't deserve the change of heart on her part that the story leads towards. Maybe I'm just not as prone to the charms of Johnny Depp's equilibrium challenged and ambiguously gay pirate performance (forgive my political incorrectness) as the rest of the world.

The Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: Strange Brew
Daniel gives 'The Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: Strange Brew' 4 out of 5 fins

What's better than a movie with a flying dog? A movie with a flying dog that looks like a skunk featuring the McKenzie brothers you hoser. This is classic canadian comedy.

Superman Returns
Daniel gives 'Superman Returns' 5 out of 5 fins

This movie is a jaw dropper. Brandon Routh is the perfect Superman / Clark Kent and Kevin Spacey nails the role of quintessential super-villain Lex Luther.

Star Wars
Daniel gives 'Star Wars' 5 out of 5 fins

This is goes without saying, but Star Wars is one of the best movies ever made and an instant classic in my book.

The Evil Dead
Daniel gives 'The Evil Dead' 5 out of 5 fins

Without a doubt most gratuitous use of fake blood you will ever see in a movie.

Tombstone
Daniel gives 'Tombstone' 5 out of 5 fins

If you like tales of the old west then you'll enjoy this one. An all star cast recreates the battle at the O.K. Corral. Val Kilmer's portrayal of Doc Holiday is outstanding.

Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas
Daniel gives 'Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas' 5 out of 5 fins

This direct to video release is an instant classic in my book. The animation is excellent. It brings the classic Disney characters to life in an all new computer animated form.

Romancing The Stone
Daniel gives 'Romancing The Stone' 5 out of 5 fins

This is a high action romance movie. The chemistry between Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner really works.

Jerry Maguire
Daniel gives 'Jerry Maguire' 5 out of 5 fins

Jerry Maguire heralds an outstanding performance by an excellent cast. Each character is equally unforgettable and the story is second to none!

Dragonslayer
Daniel gives 'Dragonslayer' 5 out of 5 fins

Peter MacNicol before the hit TV series Ally McBeal. Enchanting story and awesome effects. The dragons are convincing even considering that this was before computer graphics really came into play.

Raiders of the Lost Ark
Daniel gives 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' 5 out of 5 fins

It rarely gets any better than this classic. This first installment of the Indiana Jone's series is packed full of action from the beginning. Harrison Ford delivers an impeccable performance as a hard-nosed ladies man / adventurer. This is a masterpiece!

Finding Nemo
Daniel gives 'Finding Nemo' 5 out of 5 fins

This as an excellent animated film with a heart-warming story line. The characters are hilarious and unforgettable.

The Jerk
Daniel gives 'The Jerk' 5 out of 5 fins

A hilarious and timeless classic about the average loser leading an above average life. From the opening scene to the last this movie keeps me laughing.

Rocky
Daniel gives 'Rocky' 5 out of 5 fins

This movie is gritty. Stallone's best performance ever. An underdog story that you walk away from feeling empowered.
